I have a 1990 Miata I run in CSP. I can understand the points classing system exxcept for an engine swap. I am using a 1999 1.8l engine. base class for a 1990 is NXF** while a 1999 is NXE. If I class the car as NXF** I get 23 mod points not counting a penelty for the engine swap moving me to NXE. If I class the car as NXE I end up with 19 mod points(the difference is the lower tire width I am running) and I stay in NXE. What's the proper way to class this?

The proper way to class it is to do as it says in the rules. Email to get a new base class issued because of the engine swap, then add points from there.

do you have a dyno and corner weights for your car? My CSP miata with a 01 VVT engine landed in TTD*(+7). so my guess is you would be in TTD+/- a *.
