Just registered.......looking forward to a fun weekend!

Chicane or no chicane are fine by me........turn three in a miata is kind of a sleeper turn anyway.

Please no chicane. We ran it once this year already.

Plus, it'll be a traffic jam with one run group and takes all the fun out of turns 3 and 4 for momentum cars.

It takes the fun out of turn 3 and 4 for everyone!!! and good point with 1 run group it makes things get a little hairy with overtaking cars.

Looking at Sunday's forecast, can we say if it rains no chicane? That's the lowest part of the track, and the water just pools there. I think the 944 cup boys and girls wrote off four cars there in the rain last year.

How many cars are needed to close registration? I remember +60 in the past. Why doesn't registration close at 45-50 when it is realized that there is only one race group? This would entice people to sign up early if they knew that registration would potentially close. Now that there is almost 50 cars and with more to come, the track is going to be a cluster f**k. There's no way we should run the chicane. Just my. 02

NO Chicane for Racers for at least Saturday.

I agree with Victor. The track with the chicane is a mess in the rain and especially the mixed group. there will be carnage if we run 50 cars, thunder and lightning groups with the chicane in the rain.

Of course, this is not a democracy, so I will race no matter what NASA decides :)

So we're at 60 cars now, am I the only one that's nervous?

I thought our limit was 25 cars/mile, at 2.25 miles, we are supposed to be no more than 56 cars.

Look, I understand racers register late, but you know we do that, it's not a surprise, so why can't you expect it? Or wait to make the schedule?

Last time this happened, you moved some slots around and got us 2 race groups the day of, we're a few days out, could you do that? Just release another schedule, it happens all the time, people will understand.

I understand it gets you an extra few thousand bucks profit to squeeze more cars into the race group, but this may cost us tens of thousands due the number of incidents on such a short and tight track.

No you're not the only one that's nervous. I completely understand management having to make a schedule and not wanting to do so last minute. However, once it is decided that there is one race group registration shouldnt go on until +60 cars are packed in. Registration should stop at 50-ish and people who sign up late can then register for TT. Just because people sign up late shouldn't mean everyone else is penalized with a packed race track.

I also agree on splitting the field.
Otherwise, on restarts front cars will be getting the green and the back of the pack will still be at turn 5!
Dangerous way to end the year.
