Does anyone know if we are going to be held to the sound restrictions listed on Thompson's website? I think this is something we need to start thinking about NOW!

If I remember correctly it is 100 db at the property line. Should not be an issue on less you run a unmuffled Mazda rotory!

100dB at the property line sounds more than reasonable. I don't think we should have much to worry about in that case.

I didn't realize that limit was at the property line. I feel much better now

Can anyone that went to the latest round at Thompson confirm that the sound limit was at the property line, and did anyone see anyone getting flagged for noise? Thinking about signing up for the next round at Thompson, but want to double check first.

These noise restrictions always give me pause since typically the tracks are not very descriptive when they give these limits on their websites. 100 dB a mile away is not the same as 100 dB and the exhaust tip...

I was there and no one got flagged (that I know of) and there was a bunch of very loud cars that would easily be around 100db on track.

We had more than a few 600-800HP Super Unlimited cars running in the Thunder Race and there were no black flags for noise so I don't think you have any worries.
