From the photog...Good Afternoon NASA Sebring Participants!
I’ve literally spent the last 7 days sorting (as in looking at every photo) over 6,900 shots from the Sebring event into the 180 respective car galleries! Finally finished the last uploads last night.
The main link is here:
http://www.hendricksportsphoto.com/Club ... pring-2012 The cars are sorted by number, but the sort mechanism at my site host is a little quirky, you’ll see what I mean!
I’ve had some discussions with NASA regarding pricing for these galleries. Under normal circumstances, it’s always a flat rate, but this event posed some different challenges. Much larger field than I can recall over my involvement with NASA SWFL from the last 4 years. Some drivers were only there one day, some only ran a few sessions, others ran multiple sessions & Races on both days, etc. The difficulty this presents for me is it creates a big disparity in how many shots I have for any particular driver. Charging a driver with 15 shots the same price as a driver with 50 shots certainly isn’t a good business practice. So we came up with a very simple tiered pricing structure for this event.
If your car gallery has:
1-19 shots = $20.00
20-30 Shots = $30.00
31-41 shots = $40
42+ shots = $50.00
I have received several inquiries about getting “one or two” prints. Unfortunately, the cost for single prints is expensive due to the fact that my site host’s base pricing for producing & delivering the prints is pretty steep. For example, single 8x10’s delivered direct from the site host would run you nearly $11 per print. So if you’ve got 15 shots, it’s far more cost effective just to purchase the entire gallery and print them locally. The only downside to this pricing structure is it’s an all or nothing setup as I just don’t have the time to parse out 15-20 shots from a gallery with 80 photos.
If you’ve purchased from me in the past, you know my delivery method was mailing out disks. This was very time consuming and expensive on my end. The GOOD NEWS is, my site host has finally provided a way for me to send you a link to your gallery, which you can use to download a zipped file of your gallery! Fantastic! These are the original full size digital JPEG files, which are sold as rights released, so you can do whatever you want with them. The link is active for two weeks from the date I send it over. Once you download the zipped file, I would unzip into an empty folder, then move the zipped file into that folder as well and burn it all to DVD or CD for backup storage.
That’s about it, if you would like to purchase your gallery based on the new tiered pricing, just send me over an email and I’ll get the download link and an invoice emailed out to you.
Thank you all for your potential new business and I look forward to hearing from you!
