Please let me know cause Im probably gonna run a less agressive tire like an nt01 for a season or two until stepping up to the tire I want to run a 205 hoosier r6. The cool thing about that r6 is that it is 0 pts in a 205 size.
The reason I ask is my points would be as follows after I take whatever weight they dish me
+10 tire points hoosiers r6
-10 base tire from 245 to 205
+5 points most likely xida
+2 points sway bars/front sway bar
+1 change to aftermarket lsd
+2 aftermarket brakes
+3 front spliter
+4 rear wing
That is at 17 points which I would fill in a couple of points with some cage stuff unless I am required to take the 5 additional points for 6 speed that the car comes with and 3 points for adding an lsd. If that were the case I would run no aero stock sport brakes and 225 hoosiers.
If anyone knows who to send a theoretical baseclass it would greatly help me in determining that cage Im going to build.
Remember, you tire size points is based on your base class not the class that you're competing in. If you base class PTE** and race in PTD, your base tire size is 235 not 245.
Personally I wouldn't use points on a cage.
