Colony Inn would be the only place I would stay at. Normally at CMP I camp, and I'm not really a camper to be honest but they have wifi and hot showers, so they already have the Executive Inn in Kershaw beat.

I'll check out the Colony Inn, thanks. How far of a drive is it from CMP?

Colony Inn is in Camden, so you are looking at a 20-25 minute drive. In my opinion, the Colony is only marginally better than the Executioner. If you are willing to go to Camden, there are better hotels to choose. I have stayed at the Colony plenty of times, but it was because my room was comp'ed for working the event. I would never pay to stay there.

I have only paid to stay at the Executioner because it was so close. But it sucks.

Thanks for the info. I will probably stay at the Comfort Inn in Camden. The more I think about it the more I don't think I could take another weekend at the Executioner. I would rather get up a little earlier. It's a straight easy drive down 521.

Thanks for the hotel recommendations. I'm leaning toward Camden as well.

FYI, camping at CMP isn't that bad... especially for the time of the year this event will be... showers are plenty nice and wifi in the paddock, can't beat it.

WiFi in the paddock? Where at- any particular section?

Close to the tower. The router is actually located in the tower, but I believe they use a cantenna and pick it up all the way in the garages.

Oh, and I will second the point that CMP is brutal on brakes. Bring spare pads. Better to have them and not need them..... Also make sure you check your tires and rotate them as needed. I've corded my left front tire there more than once due to my own failure on that issue.

Note sure I can rotate side to side as I have directional tires.
